ZERO Returns to GAMH
February 4th 2011
For the first time in nearly 20 years, ZERO returns to the Great American Music Hall for a two-night special event: March 4th and 5th. Almost two decades ago, the quintessential Bay Area band recorded ‘Chance in a Million’ at the historic venue.
The band reunites to commemorate the music and to benefit band mate, Judge Murphy, who is battling liver cancer, awaiting transplant.

( ADD A COMMENT )Too bad Bobby Vega’s name is not listed. Liam’s good
but Bobby’s the best!
Grea news! Too bad Bobby Vega won’t be there!
We are pleased to have Liam at this event benefiting Judge and celebrating ZERO music. Liam was, in fact, the bass player for ZERO when Chance in a Million was recorded at the GAMH in the early 90s.
It is interesting however that in your Projects area under Zero that Bobby Vega is mentioned but Liam is not.
I am torn, I always appreciate Steve coming to the Bay Area, but a Zero reunion w/o Bobby Vega??? Still debating on purchasing tix, but if Bobby V was added to the ticket, this show would be sold out already! Somebody please rectify this situation quickly.
It’s great to see Liam back in the line-up. Great bass tone and a wonderful person.
These are going to be great shows, I wish i was going for sure.
Well, I heard these guys play from 1990 at New George’s for $1.00 (free w/student ID) through 1996. Liam had many a great shows with the band, just like Bobby. Of course the songs may have sounded different, but the feeling was there, no doubt. Just wonderful music filling my soul when it needed it most. Bands are fluid, members come and go, enjoy it for what it is, you know?
Ya know, Bobby is available both nights. Many of us would really appreciate him being added as a confirmed guest. Hell, my friends from SoCal and Seattle would visit for these shows. If it’s $$$, I’ll pay for it. He is Zero family and should be included at least as a special guest.
I’ve never waited this long to get my tix for anything Steve, but Hillbillies On PCP just isn’t the same w/o him.
thanks for the enthusiasm.
But ZERO has never played Hillbillies? wrong band
That was one hell of a Crazy Engine that blew through the North East of late! Thank You Boyz!!!
While we appreciate the fact that everyone has their favorite lineup re: ZERO, this discussion has taken a sharp left from the ENTIRE POINT of the reunion.
THIS IS A BENEFIT FOR JUDGE MURPHY WHO IS AWAITING TRANSPLANT AND BATTLING LIVER CANCER.
Please be kind, and to those who wish to support the cause, we’ll see you there.
In love & health to all
@Watcher …precisely! See you there!
AMEN!!! Our Prayers and Vibes are given up for JM-Keep Smiling Man!! F*%K YOU CANCER!!!!
I know, I know, but Zero is all about possibilities and I am all about helping out a brother. Every brother! I’ll be there. I’m just trying to help everyone get along. An impossible task it seems these days. So many politrix! Maybe we could see a side project b4 or after the event. I never was able to see the Bobby V/ Steve sets in recent years and was hoping………
Has it really been close to 20 years since Zero played the GAMH?!?!?
Love you guys… Get well Judge… sorry I’ll be out of town, hate to miss my Zero brothers… PEACE… Chief
